Preface
Bruhaspatinath Tea House founded on 1st January, 1982 by three brothers Gorakh Mali, Lala Mali and Sudhakar Mali. Gorakh Mali was elder and un-educated person. He started working in tea stalls in age of 7. Same thing happend with Lala too. But the younger brother Sudhakar completed his schooling upto 10th grade.
Early Life
Hiraman Mali is the father of these three brothers. He shifted to Shirpur in the year 1965 in the search of bread and butter. Hiraman is farmer and working in someone else farm on yearly basis. He is having three sons and two daughters, total seven people in the family including his wife Jaywantabai.
Foundation of Tea business
As the family having very poor economic conditions, they can’t afford the education and the daily expenses of the family. So, two elder sons Gorakh and Lala started working in other tea stalls in Shirpur. Very soon they trained as a teatenders. Boss started liking the work of both brothers and give them good salary (It was Rs. 5 per month at that time). Both brothers practiced their mastery in tea-tendering in those days.
Eureka – Bruhaspatinath Tea House
After some years, elder brother Gorakh think to start his own firm. By that time he was eighteen years old. He started selling tea himself on trolley (Thela in Hindi). The trolley was borrowed from someone else who didn’t take any money from him as he was a very good guy. After some years, Lala also thinks to buy a shop in the market. Both brothers purchase a shop in Bhaji Market near Bhairav Baba Temple in the end of the year 1981. By the time, Sudhakar also completed with his education and started working with Lala in the new shop i.e. Bruhaspatinath Tea House. Still Gorakh working separately on trolley. In year 1984, Gorakh stopped working on trolley and join to Lala and Sudhakar in the shop. From the day on wards, they started working together in Bruhaspatinath Tea House.
